تم اختيار القدس هذا العام من قبل منظمة الأمم المتحدة للتربية والعلوم والثقافة (اليونسكو) لتكون عاصمة الثقافة العربية. وما لم تدركه اليونسكو هو أن العرب يقدسون هذه المدينة فقط في وجدانهم ولغتهم البلاغية: أي لا يوجد دعم حقيقي لهذه المدينة المقدسة.
